Goodworks began almost 20 years ago as a way to share our services with community organizations requesting marketing, public relations and design assistance. After a number of years of providing numerous one-off projects, the IdeaCrew felt we could make a much larger impact by creating an annual marketing grant, “adopting” a nonprofit organization for an entire year and providing them with a strategic plan and a full year of marketing services.
We called our grant “Goodworks.” Soon, local printers, website programmers, photographers, videographers and other business contacts reached out to see how they could help, expanding the impact of Goodworks even further. Goodworks grants have provided more than one million dollars in free marketing, website, PR, fundraising and event support to area nonprofits. In February 2020, Goodworks became the Goodworks Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.
